I watched an episode of Magnum PI today. For those of you who don’t know the show, it was a TV series shot between 1980 and 1988 about a PI living in Hawaii working for and living on the estate of a rich aluf author named “Robin Masters”
Magnum was played by a young, handsome actor by the name of Tom Seleck.
Thomas Sullivan Magnum lives and resides in the ‘guest house’ of a posh, 200-acre (0.81 km2) beachfront estate, known as Robin’s Nest, in Hawaiʻi, at the invitation of its owner, Robin Masters, the celebrated-but-never-seen author of several dozen lurid novels. Ostensibly this is quid pro quo for Magnum’s services based upon Magnum’s claimed expertise in security; the pilot suggests Magnum also did Masters a favor of some kind.
In this Ep, Magnum has left the comforts of the estate and has taken a job at a local hotel on the Honolulu strip. A cat burglar is stealing jewels and a hooker always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Damn good stuff.
A funny bunch of 70’s slang and outfits that would make a fat kid barf after eating vegetable grease
